How Artifex collects, uses, and protects your information.
Effective April 2026
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and church or business name. When you use the Free Scan tool, we collect the website URL you submit. If Google Analytics is installed, we collect standard analytics data — page views, device type, and referral source. That's it.
We use your information to respond to inquiries, deliver project consultations, and run the free visibility scan. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. We do not store payment information.
Contact form submissions are processed through Web3Forms. Site analytics may be collected through Google Analytics. These services operate under their own privacy policies. Artifex does not control their data handling practices.
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond and manage the client relationship. Scan results are not stored permanently.
You can request that your data be deleted at any time by emailing contact@artifex-web.com.
What it is. Arti is an AI chat assistant that appears in the bottom-right corner of every page. It's powered by Claude (Anthropic) and trained on the public content of artifex-web.com.
What we collect through chat. The text you type, your IP address (for rate limiting), your browser user-agent, and timestamps. We do not require sign-in. We do not set tracking cookies for the chat. We do not collect your name, email, or phone unless you choose to type it into the conversation.
Where your data goes. Messages are forwarded to Anthropic's API to generate replies. Anthropic does not train its models on your conversations under their commercial terms.
Retention. Anthropic retains messages up to 30 days for abuse monitoring per their policy. Your local chat history is stored in your browser's sessionStorage and clears when you close the tab. Server logs (metadata only — no message contents) are kept 90 days.
Limitations. The chat is not a confidential channel. Do not enter passwords, payment information, government IDs, or medical records. For formal requests, email contact@artifex-web.com directly.
Opt out. The widget is supplemental — every page is fully usable without it. To delete server-side records or request data access, email contact@artifex-web.com.
